Each year, it is one of the top charity fundraising events in Atlanta and continues to remain within the top five charity wine auctions in the United States. The funds generated by the Wine Auction, which amount to more than $14 million over the last 16 years and $2.1 million in 2008 alone, are a significant contribution to the Museum’s acquisitions, exhibitions and educational programming. |

No matter what your beliefs, you'll probably find some sort of inspiration at this Easter event on top of the mountain. If the message doesn't move you, then seeing the sun come up over the granite mountain should. Once the sky is filled with daylight, take in a view of the Atlanta skyline and the natural surroundings of Stone Mountain Park. You'll also get a sense of accomplishment from climbing the mountain, but if that’s not your style, a concurrent service happens on Memorial Lawn at the base of the mountain. Since the event is popular, allow an extra hour or so to make sure you arrive for the 6:15am services. The park and Summit Skyride open at 4am. |

The park's expansive grounds are certainly better suited for this festival, which is known for its artists' market.
