One of the best-known seafood places in Williamsburg, this is a casual, laid-back place with photos instead of stuffed fish as decor. The crab cakes are popular at lunch and dinner, and the "backfin skins" with crabmeat and cheddar are a local favorite. The raw bar offers just about anything you could want this side of sushi. This is a family-friendly place with great seafood. Let the key lime pie finish off whatever room your stomach might have left! |

The steamed dumplings are also wonderful. There are lunch specials that are a great value and a fixed price sampler dinner for six or more that is outstanding in quantity and quality. This restaurant is in the Monticello Shopping Center – a bit off the beaten path, so you will find mostly locals here. |

4511C John Tyler Hwy Governor's Green Shopping Center, Williamsburg 23185 757-564-3955 |
 |
| |
Description:
The chef, trained at the Culinary Institute of America, has parlayed his skills into a successful bistro. With dishes based on particular cities (hence the name), the menu changes a couple of times a year, but that is okay with the diners. For lunch, creative sandwiches reign, and for dinner the Blue Gouda Beef Tenderloin with shrimp on the side is a local favorite. The ambience is upscale and trendy, and there is a loyal following here. |

Description:
In a town with tons of pancake houses, this one has distinguished itself, serving up breakfast and lunch since 1955. Their pancakes and waffles are so light you won't know how much you have eaten until you get up from the table. Business people and college faculty devour the lunches – the fried chicken fingers and gyros are marvelous and are two of the best deals in town. The atmosphere is 20th-century colonial. Located just two blocks from the historic area. |

 |
| |
Description:
The home of "authentic charbroil cooking" is located in a converted 7-11 on Route 60. But this is the best thing ever served at a former or current 7-11! Their pork barbecue sandwich comes with a heaping helping of coleslaw, French fries and a bunch of napkins – you are going to need them. There are hearty appetizers, baby back ribs and pork ribs too. If you have room, try the root beer float for dessert. Take-out and catering are available. Not fancy, but good eating! |
